Vellund began with one title sequence and a belief that movement should outlast the trend it was made in.

Our story

How one sequence

became a studio.

Vellund began in 2012 with a title sequence for a friend’s short film, cut on a borrowed laptop between two other jobs. The film was forgotten. The titles were not, and the next three clients came from them.

Today the studio is two people, a composer we call too often, and a rule we do not bend: every frame has to work as a still. We take on six or seven projects a year — enough to stay sharp, few enough to finish each one properly.

Composition before easing

A sequence is a set of posters that happen to move. If a still frame is weak, no curve will save it.

Sound is half the picture

Every film is cut to sound first — a field recording, a metronome, a voice. Silence is a choice, not a default.

Hand it over runnable

Projects end with files, tokens, guidelines and a training session. Your team should never have to call us to change a date on a poster.

Less motion is still design

Reduced-motion visitors get a considered still version, never a blank. It is designed, not switched off.
