The brief

The series follows a fishing town over one winter. The director wanted titles that felt like weather — slow, cold, inevitable — without using any of the footage, which was still being graded.

What happened

Hand-lettered type that erodes frame by frame, cut to a field recording of the harbour at dawn. The sequence was finished before the film and set the grade for the rest of the series.
